The Girls

Hello, my name is Mary. Cleary I am the “senior” ahem person in the team. When I took over Caroline’s in 1999 I had one main aim… well two if you count paying my mortgage. But my main aim was to create a welcoming salon environment where each and every client felt special. We have all been to those places where we have been made to feel intimidated and just not good enough and that is a horrible feeling. From the minute our clients walk through the door, I feel the Caroline’s experience begins. You will always be greeted with a smile (unless you’re late and then all bets are off) and a friendly word. From comments such as “we come here for the banter and the laughs as much as the treatments” I’d like to think that I have fulfilled my goal. We have longstanding clients who over the years have become as much friends as clients. And in some cases, we have up to three generations of the same family. So we must be doing something right. But NONE of this would be possible without the people that I work with. Their loyalty and work ethic is second to none. Most importantly we get on and I think that comes across when we work together. I’d like to think that we have unique personalities and each brings something different to our work environment. On a personal note, my 2 chicks have flown the nest (occasionally boomeranging) and I have a cat who hates me!!

Hi, I’m Helen. I’ve been working at Caroline’s since 2003. I completed my BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy from Southampton City College in 2002, VTCT Diploma In Reflexology from Eastleigh college in 2003, and several other beauty-related training courses the most recent being HD Brows.  I decided to challenge myself in 2018 and went back to education after several years to complete a Level 3 Awards in Education & Training followed by a degree from Portsmouth University in Education and Further Education which I completed in 2020. As part of this, I taught part-time at Eastleigh College until Covid-19 hit and our world was turned upside down. I have worked with an array of skincare brands through the years including Dermalogica, Decleor, and currently Guinot.
I have been happily married for 10 years and I am a mum to a little girl, two dogs, a cat, and two rats!!!  Sometimes coming to work can seem like a rest and a chance to have grown-up conversations and share sessions with colleagues and our wonderful clients!

Hello, I’m Emily. I have a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy Sciences from Eastleigh College which I completed in 2012. After qualifying, I worked in Spa Hotels for over four years before coming to work at Caroline’s in 2016. I also completed many other add-courses both in-house and out and have worked with such brands as ESPA, Elemis, Jessica, and Decleor in the past and most recently Guinot since coming to Caroline’s. I am now a mum to a lively little boy who keeps me on my toes and I love working in a salon environment. I really enjoy seeing clients both regular ones and new and working alongside my colleagues. I often get asked what my favorite treatment is but the truth is I love them all and the nice thing about this job is the variation it gives me. Every day is different!!
